KLOTZ student health center
Free Basic Services include primary care for currently enrolled students and are provided by doctors, nurse practitioners, and health educators. Many specialty services are free too!
Free Specialty Services: Men’s & Women’s Health, Nutrition Counseling, Alcohol, Tobacco & other Drug Counseling, Birth Control & Pregnancy Counseling, Podiatry, Sports Medicine, X Rays & in-house Lab Services.
Low Cost Services: Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Dental, Dermatology, Gynecology, outside Lab Services, Travel & Infectious Disease, Massage Therapy, Optometry, Orthopedics, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy and Immunizations.
Confidential! Your medical records are NOT available to your parents or tied to your academic record. Klotz Student Health Center will not share your medical records without your permission!
The Klotz Student Health Center is a Family PACT provider! Family PACT is a state program that provides many FREE family planning services (for sexual, reproductive health) to eligible low-income men and women. This program increases access to services including medical providers, birth control and other related prescriptions and lab work. Applications are accepted at the cashier window of the Klotz Student Health Center.
Monday-Thursday from 9-11am & 1:30-3:30pm
When the Klotz Student Health Center is closed (after-hours, weekends or University holidays), financial responsibility for medical care rests with you! Some local recommendations include:

FONEMED (877 678-3999) is a telephone triage service contracted by the Klotz Student Health Center to answer medical questions, provide info for self treatment, or help direct you for urgent/emergency care, as necessary. This service is for currently enrolled students of CSUN ONLY! FONEMED cannot make/cancel appointments, review immunization requirements, clear holds, or address any University questions.
The Living Well Lounge (LWL) is located across from the A.S. Ticket Office in the center of the USU. Staffed by Alive & Well Peer Educators, the LWL is designed for students to de-stress, get information & learn ways to bring health & wellness into hectic student life. Services also include Nutrition Counseling & a Relaxation Chair. Free!

Does constant worrying make it difficult to sleep, concentrate, or enjoy your day? In this safe and supportive group you’ll learn proven techniques for reducing anxiety and managing stress.
* Body Esteem Boot Camp
A 6-week workshop series that focuses on increasing positive body esteem and challenging environmental and societal factors that are unhealthy for body image.
Building Self-Esteem
Feel better about yourself and learn to maintain your self-esteem through life’s “ups and downs.”
* Choice or Chance
Career assessment is offered as part of this decision- making workshop for students who are undecided about their major or career.
Depression Management
A supportive group designed to help you manage your feelings of depression, sadness, and loss. A safe place to learn techniques to increase enjoyment in your life.
¡Expresate! (Express Yourself!)
For Latina/o students interested in having a safe place to talk about family, our inspirations, dating and relationships, daily struggles, and what it means to be a Latina/o CSUN student.
Forgiveness Workshop
A workshop to help you heal from the hurt of a past relationship and to learn the art of forgiveness.
*Incest Survivor Group
A supportive and caring group for women and men to help work with the trauma of molestation, sexual abuse and incest in a safe and confidential setting.
